On Wednesday 29th November, 16 children from St John's School took part in this year's Harrow's Band Festival at Harrow Arts Centre. The children had been working hard on their pieces with their instrumental teachers Miss Underhill and Mr Carruthers.

It was a great event that saw children from 14 different primary and secondary schools across Harrow come together to perform.

The concert was a great success and the standard of playing this year was very high.  The was a large varied repetoire of pieces as well as two fabulous performances by the Harrow Teaching Staff who demonstrated their amazing playing skills playing High Society and Sing, Sang, Sung.

A special tribute was made to Stan Lord who sadly died this last year. He used to work for Harrow Music Service for many years and arranged or wrote a lot of the music performed.
