KS2 Christmas Carol Service

KS2 Christmas Carol Service

It was a very special occasion and the children performed brilliantly at our KS2 Carol Service. The behaviour of our children was exemplary and everyone involved should be very proud of themselves. The readings were read very clearly by our Year 6 pupils and the Year 5 children read prayers they had written themselves beautifully.

All year groups had an opportunity to sing to the congregation with Year 3 singing ‘Away in a Manger’, Year 4 singing ‘Lift Up Lightly the Stable Bar,’ Year 5 singing ‘Calypso Carol’ and Year 6 sang 'Mary's Child'. It is so lovely seeing such confidence in our children as they performed.  Sing up club sang ‘Winter Carol’ brilliantly (featuring Akina and Jabari) as well as singing ‘The Bells Ring Out’ in a very joyous performance.  St John's Orchestra also played one of their favourite pieces, 'A Holiday Celebration' and finished off the service with 'Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer'.  We were also treated to a special performance by Jada and Gabby who sang 'Thorns in the Straw' by Graham Kendrick so beautifully.

Many thanks to all family and friends who came to the service to support our children. Particular thanks to Mr Rees for accompanying everyone on the organ.  The money raised from your generous donations at the end of the service will be donated to Shelter.

Happy Christmas to you all
