MUSIC AT OUR SCHOOL
Music at St. John's is considered to be a very important part of the curriculum and life of the school - Ofsted March 2010 reported that 'The quality of singing and the orchestra are superb.'
Children at St Johns have an hours music lesson each week with a specialist music teacher in a dedicated music room. They learn a variety of instruments during their time at St Johns school as well as learning about many different musical genres and composers. The children have access to a wide range of classroom percussion instruments, keyboards, ukuleles and recorders. Children also attend a weekly singing assembly from Reception to Year 6.
