St John's Church of England School

St John's were honoured to be chosen to take part in this years final of the MFY competition.  Following on from a successful Regional competition, where the orchestra received amazing reviews regarding their performance, they were selected to compete in the Infant and Junior section of the competition. 

The finals took place in Birmingham Town Hall. The children were so excited travelling up in the coach. They orchestra put on an impressive performance in such an auspicious venue infront of the judges, competitiors and friends and family members who had travelled up for this special performance. 

There were some excellent soloists during our first piece, "Super Hero Blues", an amazing perfomance of Max's composition, "The Sun is Rising" and finally they finished off the performance with a selection of tracks from Mama Mia. 

Well done all that took part! You should be very proud of yourselves for your performance.
