Music For Youth Proms 2023
The children in Orchestra had a fabulous day at the Royal Albert Hall in November as part of the Music for Youth Proms Celebration. The orchestra were taking part in the creative project that MFY Ambassador Jack Pepper had written. It was a fabulous piece of music that was in three parts; Prelude 1, Prelude 2 and the Finale. The theme of the piece was all centrered around thanking your music teachers and there were spoken parts throughout dedicated to this. The piece was quite challenging for us as a primary school orchestra but we rose to the challenge and had a great time performing to a large audience. Alongside this were many acts that took part throughout the night ranging from Irish music and dancing to a rapping duo and a full scale symphonic orchestra! The children had lots of fun!
