St John's Church of England School

Drum Lessons take place every Monday afternoon in the Music Practice Room with Mr Perry.  Lessons cost £80 per term and are payable in advance via parent pay.

Drum lessons are taught in groups of 3. We do not have any drum kits available for hire.

Mike Perry is a professional session drummer and percussionist, composer and producer based in London UK.

Mike has worked as a professional drummer in a number of groups and projects across various stylistic areas. He is currently working in a number of projects including Joro Afrobeat and the Nazim Ziryab group, a North African Gnawa fusion group. He performs regularly across London, the UK and has toured across France, Germany and the US.

He gained a degree from Liverpool University (2:1 BAHons), attained the Trinity Guildhall Professional Music Diploma LTCL (licentiate level) and completed a years study at Drumtech drum and percussion school, (Tech Music School), graduating in the Masters Performance course with Merit. Mike has over 6 years teaching experience, working for Harrow Music Service and Tower Hamlets Arts and Music Education Service.
